Airbnb : Terminology

Host Account

The individual or business responsible for creating and managing the experience. Airbnb Hosts are typically local individuals, while Rezdy operators can be companies or tour providers.

Activity / Listing

A specific tour, activity, or service listed for booking. In Rezdy, it's called a “product”; in Airbnb, it's the “activity” or “activity.”

Itinerary

Every activity on Airbnb includes an itinerary. The itinerary shows guests what to expect — it highlights the main experiences and what’s included in the activity.

Agendas

Each itinerary is made up of one or several agendas. An agenda describes a specific part of the activity, such as meeting your guide, traveling to a location, or visiting an attraction. You can also include travel time in each agenda. Together, the agendas form the full itinerary that helps guests understand the flow of the experience.

Activity type

The type of activity offered. In Rezdy, we have 'Tours', 'Activities', and 'Tickets'; in Airbnb, it is 'Experience' or 'Service'. Experience best describes tour style offerings, for example 'A guided tour of Loire Valley', while a Service refers to a service one may offer, for example 'Private chef for an hour' or 'Hairstylist to the star'.

Booking type

A booking type controls how customers can book your sessions. If you set the booking type to Private Only in Airbnb, one booking will reserve the entire session, giving the customer exclusive use. If you set it to Public Only in Airbnb, anyone can book the session until all available spots are filled. 

Guest Type (Per Person Pricing)

Defines how pricing is structured. Rezdy supports multiple guest types (adult, child, infant); Airbnb allows per-person pricing, which can differ between Adult, Child, and/or Infant.

max guests

Maximum number of participants allowed per experience session. Controls capacity and group size per booking.
