How To Use Resource Management (Allocation)
FollowOverview
The default behaviour of resource allocation is to automatically fill the first resource in a session until no spots are available, then fill the next resource. Resource management lets you manually allocate resources to specific bookings.
Resource management (allocation) requirements
- You must have resources created in Rezdy.
- You must have resources assigned to calendar sessions.
Resource management (allocation) does not support the following:
- Shuttle-type products.
- Rental-type products.
- Any date product scheduling options.
- Limited per-price scheduling options.
Manually allocate quantities
The default behaviour of resources is to automatically fill the first resource in a session until no spots are available, then fill the next resource.
Within a Session:
Within an order:
In this example, the group of 25 needs to re-allocate to the Large Bus resource.
Within an Order:
- Replace the automatic allocation with 0.
- Manually re-allocate quantities to the desired resource.
- The allocation status updates as you allocate quantities to resources.
- Green: All quantities are allocated.
- Red: Quantities are over- or under-allocated.
- Save the order.
Note: The signifies the following:
- The system allocates the assigned quantities to a specific resource and does not remove or reduce them even if you reduce the total quantities of the order.
- Additionally, this icon does not mean that the resource itself is being locked at, or limited to, the allocated quantities.
Once you save the order, all resources update.
Important: If you don't manually reallocate resources, the default automatic allocation always applies: the system allocates the first resource until it reaches 0 available, then allocates the next resource.
