Product: Messages tab
FollowOverview
This tab allows you to add product specific information to the confirmation, reminder, followup, and payment request emails. This tab is also where you can enable SMS alerts for both you and your booking customers.
Tip: If you simply want all products to have the same information within these emails; you can configure each email template separately.
Notifications
Emails:
- Add information to confirmation emails - tick this box if you want to include product specific information to the confirmation emails. This will be added to the default information within the Confirmation email template.
- Add attachment to emails - tick this box and upload any product specific attachments. If you have also added an attachment to your Confirmation email templates, your customers will receive both attachments.
- Also send supplier notification email to these recipient(s) - tick this box if you want other staff in your company to receive the Supplier notification email when this product is booked. To add multiple emails, separate each emails with ';' character i.e : john@doe.com; tony@doe.com.
- Show a QR Code for each Participant:
- Show a Rezdy generated QR Code for each Participant - tick this if you wish to have QR Codes to be shown for each of your Participants.
- Show an external QR Code for each Participant - tick this if you have a 3rd Party system/POS system that you use to generate and scan QR Codes for each participant. Click here to read more.
SMS:
- Send me an SMS when I get a booking - tick this box if you want to receive an SMS each time this particular product gets booked online. The SMS will be sent to the Mobile Number defined within your Edit My Profile page.
- Send an SMS to the customer to confirm his order - tick this box if you want your customers to receive an SMS after they have completed their booking online.
- $0.09 per SMS sent to United States and Canada.
- $0.19 per SMS to Australia and New Zealand.
- $0.29 per SMS to other countries.
Note: SMS fees will be added to your monthly subscription charge. SMS only supports Notifications, Reminders, and Followups.
Reminders
- Ticking any of the email options (only) will enable reminders to be sent for this product. These reminders will follow the settings of each reminder email template, which you can find in Settings > Emails > Email Templates.
- Optional: You can also click the Customise button if you want to customise the message and/or amount of days/hours for a specific product.
- Set the amount of Days/Hours before the session start time.
- Enter the reminder message.
SMS
- Tick the Send a reminder SMS to the customer box.
- Enter the amount of Hours/Days/Minutes before the session start time.
Followups
Emails
- Ticking any of the email options (only) will enable follow ups to be sent for this product. These emails will follow the settings of each follow up email template, which you can find in Settings > Emails > Email Templates.
- Optional: You can also click the Customise button if you want to customise the message and/or amount of days/hours for a specific product.
- Set the amount of Days/Hours after the session end time.
- Enter the follow up message.

SMS
- Tick the Send a follow up SMS to the customer box.
- Enter the amount of Days/Hours/Minutes after the session end time.
GDPR compliance & marketing emails
Our follow up and marketing emails adhere to GDPR compliance rules. If you have enabled GDPR Compliant emails, and your customers do not tick to receive marketing emails upon checkout; then your follow up emails will not be sent.

Payment Request
Emails
- Tick the Automated Payment Request boxes. This will enable the product to send an automated payment request email using the main template settings. Click here to learn more.
- Click the Customise button to set up product specific settings.
- For the requested amounts, select between:
- Percentage of order total amount: Allows you to request a percentage amount of the order total. For example:
- 50 will request 50% of the total remaining balance of the order, regardless of any previously made payments.
- 100 will request 100% of the total remaining unpaid balance of the order, regardless of any previously made payments.
- Fixed amount per order: Allows you to request a specific dollar amount of the order total. Enter a specific dollar amount, must be a whole number e.g. 50.
- Percentage of order total amount: Allows you to request a percentage amount of the order total. For example:
- For the requested date, select between:
- Days before tour date: This will trigger an email X amount of days before the start of the tour/activity.
- Days after order date: This will trigger an email X amount of days after the booking was made.
- Specific date: This will trigger an email on the date specified. This follows the Coordinated Universal Time or UTC Timezone.
Note: In the above example, this product will have 3 automated payment request emails sent. Request 1 and 2 will use each of the main template settings, however Request 3 will use the product specific settings.
