How To Set Up a Deposit or Full Amount

You can give your customers the choice to pay a deposit or the full amount upon checkout. For example, you can set a 25% deposit rule, at the same time allowing your customers to pay the full amount. Additionally, you can set deposit rules that apply only to specific products.
Note: You must have Owner user access.
How to set up a business-wide deposit
- Click Settings.
- Select Payments.
- Scroll down to Select your booking deposit.
Here you have 5 options:
- Full amount
- Deposit (% of order total amount)
- Enter the deposit percentage amount.
- Tick Allow customers to pay full amount - this gives your customers the option to pay the full amount.
- Tick Add minimum notice - this allows you to enforce full payment if the booking is x number of days before the tour date.
- Enter the number of days before the tour date.
- Deposit (Fixed amount per person/quantity)
- Enter the fixed deposit amount.
- Tick Allow customers to pay full amount - this gives your customers the option to pay the full amount.
- Tick Add minimum notice - this allows you to enforce full payment if the booking is x amount of days before the tour date.
- Enter the number of days before the tour date.
- Deposit (Fixed amount per order)
- Enter the fixed deposit amount.
- Tick Allow customers to pay full amount - this gives your customers the option to pay the full amount.
- Tick Add minimum notice - this allows you to enforce full payment if the booking is x amount of days before the tour date.
- Enter the number of days before the tour date.
- No charge - this option is useful if you want to capture the credit card and charge at a later date.
Click the Save button when done.
How to set up a special deposit rule for a product
To get started, find the product (Inventory Products) you want to add a special rule for, and click the product name to be taken to the Details tab:
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Tick the Use special deposit rules box.
- Here you have 5 options:
- Full amount
- Deposit (% of order total amount)
- Enter the deposit percentage amount.
- Tick Allow customers to pay full amount - this gives your customers the option to pay the full amount.
- Tick Add minimum notice - this allows you to enforce full payment if the booking is x amount of days before the tour date.
- Enter the number of days before the tour date.

Lastly, click the Save product button.
