How To Create a Category

Overview

Categories let you display and organise your products into groups for easier customer navigation.

Creating a new category

1. Click Inventory.
2. Select Categories.
3. Click the New category button.

Within the new category window

1. Enter a Name for the category.
2. Enter an SEO Description.
3. Tick the Search Engine Indexing box to prevent search engines from indexing the category page, e.g., https://myrezdyurl.rezdy.com/catalog/1234/my-category.
4. Rel Canonical URL: Enter the URL that you want to rank for this category, e.g., https://mywebsite/my-category.
   
   Note: There is no set time for search engines, like Google, to rank or index/deindex a website initially. A site can be crawled/indexed within 4 days to 4 weeks. In some cases, it may take longer.
5. Select the Products.
6. Click the Save category button.
   
   
    
7. Navigate to the categories list to select whether to make it private or public by ticking the Public visibility box.
    

• Ticking Public visibility ensures the category appears as a tab on your booking form link.
  
  
   
• Not ticking Public visibility removes the category from the booking form tabs and appears on its own.
