How To Set Up the Gift Card Email Template

Rezdy gives you the flexibility to change how your Emails being, sent, look and feel. You can add custom text, images, show and hide features, and see how your email will look with orders you currently have. This article will focus on the Gift Card template.
Improve email deliverability
If your customers inform you that your emails are falling in to spam/junk folders, or completely blocked (due to DMARC policies), you can set a Rezdy owned domain as your 'From' email address. This will ensure your emails are being delivered to your customers' inbox.
How to find the gift card template
- Click Settings.
- Select Emails.
- Click Email Templates.
- Choose Gift Card within the template list.
How to set up the gift card template
- Make sure the Enable emails box is checked
- Choose the From email within the drop down list. You'll be able to select from the current list of Users of your Rezdy account.
- Enter a Subject line. If you want to learn more about shortcodes e.g. {{COMPANY_NAME}} keep scrolling.
Select a template
- Choose from the list of gift card templates. As you select a template, you'll see a preview to the right.
Important: Only the first template allows you to change the Color Theme to match your branding.
Finally, click the Save Template button at the bottom.
Can I create my own gift card template?
Yes! select the very last template within the list, you should then see the HTML Code box.
Important: Building a custom gift card template requires an extensive knowledge of coding. We strongly recommend you consult a web development company or a highly skilled front-end developer.
How to use the shortcodes
These shortcodes will be replaced with unique Order, Customer, and Company information. For example {{COMPANY_NAME}} will be replaced with the Company Name within your Settings > Edit My Profile page.
The codes can be used in the Introduction Text, Conclusion Text, email body and Subject sections of the email templates.
{{ORDER_NUMBER}} | will display the order number e.g. R450D93 |
{{ORDER_STATUS}} | will show the status of the order, e.g. CONFIRMED |
{{ORDER_STATUS_HELP}} | will display information depending on the status of the order. For example, a booking in an ON HOLD status will display "Your Order is not confirmed, you have been placed in the waiting list. Please wait for confirmation" |
{{ORDER_AMOUNT_DUE}} | shows a balance owing, if Order is full paid it will show AUD0.00 |
{{ORDER_PAYMENT_LINK}} | displays a payment request link allowing the customer to pay remaining balance. |
{{CUSTOMER_FIRST_NAME}} | will show the customer's first name |
{{CUSTOMER_LAST_NAME}} | will show the customer's last name |
{{CUSTOMER_EMAIL}} | will show the customer's email |
{{CUSTOMER_NAME}} | will show customer's full name |
