Set Availability Limits on Price Options

Overview

Rezdy lets you set availability limits for price options, such as Child and Senior. This feature is very useful when there is a limited number of a particular seat type on a vehicle, e.g., child seats, or a limited number of resource types, e.g., large and small bikes.

Important: This feature is not available for rental-type or 'by minute, by hour, by day' pricing-type products.

Example: Fixed limit per price option

In the following example, the vehicle used for a guided bus tour seats up to 30 people, but you must set a limit on the Child price option because the bus only has 10 child seats.

Set up this scenario in the following way:

1. Set the session maximum limit to 30.
2. Set Adult and Senior to 30 as well, since there are no restrictions for these seats.
3. Set the Child price limit to 10.

Other examples include:

• Limited seats on a boat, e.g., Divers vs Spectators.
• Specific seats on a plane, e.g., Skydivers vs Instructors.
• Limited tickets in a concert hall, e.g., Premium Reserve, A Reserve, B Reserve.
• Specific seats on a ship, e.g., Child & Wheelchair Access.

Apply similar settings to resources by linking price options to the appropriate resource selections.

• Limited number of single & double rooms.
• Limited amount of Adult Kayaks & Child Kayaks.

Where to view and update availability

View and update availability for products (with a fixed limit per price option) in two places:

1. View the remaining availability within an order by clicking the session start time dropdown.

2. View and update the remaining availability on the Edit session page, within the Availability section.
