How to Transfer Funds Into Your Stripe Account
FollowOverview
Refunds will be processed when your Stripe account balance covers the full refund amount. Depending on your situation, there are 2 ways to ensure you have sufficient balance to process refunds.
- If you are currently receiving payments that will be sufficient to cover your refund amount in a reasonable time, ensure that your Stripe account payout schedule is set to weekly or manual. By doing this you ensure that the balance accumulates in your Stripe account rather than being paid out to your bank account before the refunds are processed.
- If you are currently not receiving sufficient payments to cover your refunds in a timely manner, you will need to transfer the (exact) amount you need to cover the refunds you want to process, into Rezdy’s bank account and we will release the refunds once the transfer has settled.
How to Update Your Stripe Payout Schedule
Login to your Stripe Dashboard
- Go to Settings > Bank accounts and scheduling
- Look to Payout Schedule, here you'll find options to adjust your payouts.
- Automatic every week - Choose a day of the week you wish to get paid out. Make sure you choose a day that's 2 days away from today if you choose this option. For e.g. if today is Tuesday then choose Thursday, this should give the system enough time. From now on you'll be paid out once per week.
- Manual - This option will only pay you out when you log into Stripe and click Payout, if you forget to do this, you won't be paid out. This option basically allows you to pay yourself out sooner than a 1 week cycle but this is manual.
Important: You'll not be able to see which transactions are part of the payout if you choose the Manual option.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take for my refund to be processed?
- If your refund is successful it will be executed instantly and arrive in the card holders account after 10-15 days.
If the refund shows status 'pending', the execution will be delayed until the balance of your Stripe account can cover the full refund amount.
Why is my refund pending?
- Stripe will only process a refund if your available balance minus any account top-ups in the past 3 business days can cover the refund amount. Until then, your refund will show status pending.
How long does it take for my wire/bank transfer to be cleared.
- If you top-up your Stripe account balance via a wire/bank transfer, it will take 3-5 business days until transferred funds are cleared after they arrive in your Stripe account.
What amount of funds should I top up in order to have enough funds available to process my refunds?
- Try to estimate the value of the orders you will need to cancel/refund in the next week. You can always withdraw any surplus funds to your bank account.
What is the cost of topping up funds to my Stripe account?
- All charges are set by your bank. If possible transfer via a bank transfer to avoid the cost of a wire.
