What are the benefits to using My Pickups with Expedia?
- Expedia customer can select pick up options
- Expedia can send pick up information to Rezdy
- Rezdy can send pick up time/information with each order confirmation to Expedia.
1. Set up and enable pick up in Rezdy, refer to our guide here.
2. Enable pick up in Expedia (Your Expedia Account Manager can guide you through the set up).
Things to know
Unmatched pick up
If a pick up location cannot be matched by location name or Longitude/latitude coordinates, the pick up information provided by Expedia will be made available in the Notes/comments field of the order in Rezdy. In this case, we will not be able to provide a time to Expedia with the order confirmation.
When Expedia sends a location name or longitude/latitude information of a pick up location selected by customer at time of order, we will match this against the location name & longitude/latitude information set in Rezdy for this product. If the match of pick up location name or longitude/latitude is found, we will always provide ‘additional instructions’ along with the pick up time set for this location.
Longitude & Latitude match
If location name cannot be matched by exact string of text, we will resort to Longitude & latitude within a 25 meter radius.
Pick up time changes
If pick up times change from the time of the order confirmation to date of tour departure, the changes made in Rezdy will not be communicated to Expedia. Suppliers will need to contact the customers direct to relay the updated information.
Expedia’s list of Hotel Names/information
Expedia’s list of hotel names are generated from their own database of hotels and it is fixed. Expedia will not be able to amend the name of their hotel to match the location name in suppliers pick up list.
