New Release - 13th July 2015 - Waiting List, First day of week & more
FollowThanks to everyone who has contributed to the Feature Request forums, your continued support has made a few of the following releases possible, stay tuned for more!
2. Adjust the Start of the Week for all Calendar Views
3. Last Minute prepended to Supplier Notifications
4. API Improvement: Multiple Products Availability Request
Another major win includes; removing Google dependencies from the Rezdy Booking Form. What does this mean? Basically this allows potential Customers in China, the largest market in the world, to book online using your Rezdy Booking Form where previously they were encountering issues.
Create a Waiting List
You can now allow your customers to join a Waiting List and be notified when availability opens up for a sold out day. Basically within a Products setup, on the Scheduling tab, check the Enable waiting list for this product check box. Click here for more details on the Scheduling tab
When a guest tries to book a date completely full or more seats than available, they receive the following notification as well as an option to join the waiting list:
and finally as an Operator, internally all Orders are set to On Hold and placed in the waiting list:
Important: No automated payments are processed at the time of a Customer joining a Waiting List. If your Payment Gateway allows you to store the credit card details, they will be stored within Rezdy. If not, you will need to trigger a Payment Request email after you have Confirmed the Order.
Adjust the Start of the Week for all Calendar Views
You are now able to change the start of the week which is displayed to both a Supplier and a Customer booking online.
1. Click Settings
2. Click Regional Settings
3. Select the Start of the week
4. Click Save
This is how it appears as a Supplier:
and from a Customer's point of view:
Last Minute added to Supplier Notifications

Nice one on the wait list!
If a customer books an 'On Hold' slot does this ignore the deposit policy?
when a customer enters their credit card details and then clicks 'get me on the waiting list', are they charged immediately, or only if a place becomes available? I think this should be specified to the customer... otherwise they will be very reluctant to enter card details if they think they will be charged but are not guaranteed a place.
Thanks for making the ability to specify which day of the week the calendar starts! I think there is a problem with it, however. I go in and adjust the setting and the calendar is changed. It does not show the change for other users on our account and if I log out and back in, it reverts to the old setting. Please check into this as we are eager to have the calendar start on Sundays since we are in the US and starting on Monday has been less than ideal all along and allows for frequent errors.
Thank you for fixing the calendar!!!!
Is it possible to have the option for the waiting list show up on the main calendar, not just on the available time list. Perhaps using colour codes with a small legend (available, waiting list) could help.
Right now it isn't wholly obvious that a person can choose the waiting list option.
Loving the "Last Minute" email notifications!
Not sure which release this happened in, but we also really love the new "show value of orders" button in the Sales Report interface.
Wonderful stuff! Thanks so much.
